Freelance journalist

Anna Melville-James is a freelance journalist and writer, specialising in travel. Other areas of interest include health, the environment, popular psychology, family life and anthropology.

Her features have appeared in The Sunday Times Travel Magazine, Independent on Sunday, The Independent, Mail on Sunday, Evening Standard, The Guardian, The Sunday Telegraph, The Daily Mail, Sunday Mirror, OK!, SHE, Zest and other publications. She has also written a regular celebrity interview column, 'Your Usual Table...?' , for the Independent on Sunday Review magazine. She is also co-author of the 2006 and 2007 Michelin Green Guide to Italy, and lead writer on the 2008 Michelin Green Guide to Sicily and 2010 guides to Rome and London.

Anna has extensive new media experience, and was part of the editorial start-up teams of the Daily Mail's travel website, www.thisistravel.com, and the official website of the Museums Association, www.museumsassociation.org.

She is available for freelance writing (articles and longer-term projects), editing and subbing work.
